Ingredients:
- 210 gr all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 150 gr unsalted butter
- 180 gr light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 140 gr cup chocolate chunks
- 80 gr chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together.
- Heat the butter over medium-high heat until melted, and continue to cook while swirling for about 5 minutes until it turns golden brown and smells nutty.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes, then stir in the brown sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the egg and the vanilla extract, then add the flour mixture.
- Add half of the chocolate and pecans.
- Smooth the dough to an even thickness in a pan and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate and pecans.
- Bake until the dough is puffed, about 20 to 25 minutes.
