Blondies with Pecans and Chocolate

Ingredients: 

  • 210 gr all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 150 gr unsalted butter 
  • 180 gr light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 140 gr cup chocolate chunks
  • 80 gr chopped pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together.
  3. Heat the butter over medium-high heat until melted, and continue to cook while swirling for about 5 minutes until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. 
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes, then stir in the brown sugar until smooth.
  5. Stir in the egg and the vanilla extract, then add the flour mixture.
  6. Add half of the chocolate and pecans.
  7. Smooth the dough to an even thickness in a pan and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate and pecans. 
  8. Bake until the dough is puffed, about 20 to 25 minutes.
