Key Lime Pie

Ingredients:

  • For the Graham Cracker Crust:
  • 200 gr graham cracker crumbs
  • 70 gr brown sugar
  • 115 gr melted unsalted butter Pinch salt

For the Filling:

  • 4 teaspoons key lime zest
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 400 m of sweetened condensed milk
  • 115 gr fresh lime juice
  • And, of course, whipped cream Topping (-:

Instructions

Crust:

  • 1. stir together the cracker crumbs, sugar, and salt. Drizzle the melted butter over the cracker mixture. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch plate. Bake for 10 minutes and then cool to room temperature.

Filling:

  • 2. In a bowl, whisk the lime zest and egg yolks. Whisk in the condensed milk and lime juice.
  • 3. Pour the lime filling into the crust. Bake about 15 m until the center is set yet still wiggly.
  • 4. Cool the pie to room temperature. Refrigerate overnight until well-chilled.
  • 5. Pipe the whipped cream over the filling. Garnish with lime slices.
