Spinach Feta Pastry

Perfect for breakfast (-:

Ingredients:

  • 10 grams of yeast
  • 40 grams of sugar
  • 400 ml of warm milk
  • 200 ml warm water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 180 ml of oil
  • 10 grams of salt
  • 950 grams of flour.
  • 70 gr of soft butter
  • Frozen spinach – thawed
  • 400 g crumbled feta
  • Sesame for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Mix milk and water with yeast and sugar – wait a few minutes until the yeast dissolves.
  2. Add egg white and oil and mix.
  3. Add sifted flour and salt at the end, and knead well.
  4. Place covered in a warm place to rise until doubled in volume.
  5. Make a roll and divide it into about 10 balls of dough.
  6. Roll each ball thin and spread with a thin layer of butter.
  7. Sprinkle spinach and feta crumbs.
  8. Roll into a cylinder, twist like a screw and twist into a snail shape.
  9. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame.
  10. Leave to rise for a second time.
  11. Bake for about 20 minutes at 180 Celsius / 400 Fahrenheit.
