If you are a fan of sesame, then you will love these homemade sesame snaps
These homemade little sesame snaps are crunchy, salty, sweet, and protein-packed.
You can make a batch in less than 15 minutes and don’t need to toast the sesame seeds beforehand.
The sugar will cook them to perfection.
Instructions:
- 1 cup caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup of sesame seeds
Instructions:
- 1. Put the sugar and salt into a small pen over medium heat.
- 2. There is no need to stir’ just swirl the pan occasionally until the sugar turns a golden caramel.
- 3. Using a spoon, stir the sesame seeds until well mixed in.
- 4. Quickly tip onto silicon paper, smooth out to about 3 mm thick with a rolling pin, and cut it into strips.
- 5. When cold, break into pieces and store in a jar.
