Whole Grain Bread Rolls

You know how it is: You turn the bread bag in the supermarket to read the ingredients, and there is a never-ending list.

 This recipe is practical for everyday life. It is healthy and easy to prepare and keeps well in the freezer for future use.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of whole wheat flour
  • (You can divide 400 wholemeal flour + 100 bread flour for a better rise)
  • 0.5 cup of olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of dry yeast
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups of warm water
  • Decoration and polishing:
  • 2 tablespoons of milk or water
  • Black/white sesame, bagel mix

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the dough’s ingredients and mix with a guitar hook for fifteen minutes.
  2. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a towel to rise for about 40 minutes.
  3. After the first rise, form a roll from the dough.
  4. Divide into 10 pieces, and roll each into a circle.
  5. A second rise of 30 minutes until the buns double in size.
  6. Roll into a narrow roll and make any shape you like.
  7. Turn on the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees.
  8. Spread a little milk and decorate with sesame seeds.
  9. Baking for about 20 minutes.
