You know how it is: You turn the bread bag in the supermarket to read the ingredients, and there is a never-ending list.
This recipe is practical for everyday life. It is healthy and easy to prepare and keeps well in the freezer for future use.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of whole wheat flour
- (You can divide 400 wholemeal flour + 100 bread flour for a better rise)
- 0.5 cup of olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of dry yeast
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups of warm water
- Decoration and polishing:
- 2 tablespoons of milk or water
- Black/white sesame, bagel mix
Instructions:
- Mix all the dough’s ingredients and mix with a guitar hook for fifteen minutes.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a towel to rise for about 40 minutes.
- After the first rise, form a roll from the dough.
- Divide into 10 pieces, and roll each into a circle.
- A second rise of 30 minutes until the buns double in size.
- Roll into a narrow roll and make any shape you like.
- Turn on the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees.
- Spread a little milk and decorate with sesame seeds.
- Baking for about 20 minutes.
