Chocolate-Coconut Roll

Ingredients for one large roulade:

The chocolate layer:

  • 250 grams of biscuits
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • About 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella
  • For the coconut filling:
  • 100 grams of butter melted in the microwave
  • 150 grams of coconut
  • 100 grams of powdered sugar
  • A little red food colouring

Instructions:

  • 1. Grind the biscuits in a food processor
  • 2. Dissolve sugar, cocoa, Nutella and milk in a small saucepan (can also be added without cooking)
  • 3. Transfer the ground biscuits and salt to a bowl and mix with the chocolate mixture. If it is too dry, add a little more milk.
  • 4. Roll out the layer of biscuits between 2 baking sheets as thin as possible.
  • 5. Grind all the coconut ingredients in a food processor (except the food colouring)
  • 6. Divide in half. Add food colouring to one of the halves and mix.
  • 7. Sprinkle the white coconut on the chocolate layer
  • 8. Sprinkle the horned coconut.
  • 9. Clamps
  • 10. Roll together into a roll as tightly as possible.
  • 11. Wrap in baking paper and transfer to the freezer.
  • After an hour in the freezer, slice into thin slices and enjoy.
