Thin layers of phyllo dough filled with a mixture of walnuts, cinnamon and sweet syrup
The easiest way to make baklava ever. You will be amazed at how quickly and easily you can make this recipe.
Ingredients:
To make the syrup:
- Boil 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon, and 1 tablespoon of rose blossoms in a pot until it thickens. Once done, set it aside to cool.
- A package of phyllo dough thawed overnight in the refrigerator.
- 150 grams of melted butter.
For the filling:
- 300 grams of walnuts.
- 150 grams of sugar
- 1.5 tablespoon of cinnamon
Instructions:
- Heat the oven to 170 degrees.
- For The stuffing:
- Place all the stuffing ingredients in a food processor with a steel blade and grind coarsely.
- Cut your phyllo dough sheets into half.
- Place the first half into your baking pan.
- Pour your Walnut mixture on top of it.
- Place the other half of the filler dough.
- Cut it with a Sharp knife into a small portion.
- Pour all your melted butter over the filler sheet.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until brown.
- Once your baklava is ready, while still hot, generously pour the sugar syrup over it and hear the bubbly, satisfying sounds.
- Cool to room temperature, make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy (-:
