This warm, golden treat is a delightful craving! Each layer melts in your mouth, soft, flaky, and rich in buttery goodness
Ingredients:
- 400g flour
- 300ml warm milk
- 40g sugar
- 8g salt
- 40g butter (room temperature)
- 2 tsp dry yeast
Layers:
- 60g butter (room temperature)

Instructions:
- Mix yeast and sugar into warm milk; let sit for 5 minutes to activate
- Add flour and salt, then knead the dough. Gradually incorporate the butter until smooth
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and cut it into eight equal pieces. Grease each piece with butter, roll into logs, and freeze for 25 minutes
- Roll each log lengthwise, stretch, and make cuts on top, then place on baking sheet
- Let the rolls rise until doubled in size (about 1.5 to 2 hours at room temp or 20°C)
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Brush tops with egg yolk and milk mixture
- Bake until golden brown
