Blondies-Brownie

Cant decide between a brownie and a blondie? This recipe combines chewy chocolate brownies and rich fudge blondies into a prefect blend of sweetness!

Ingredients:

Brownie Mix:

  • 100g semi-sweet chocolate hcips
  • 100g butter
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 20g cocoa powder
  • 50g flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Blondie Mix:

  • 100g white chocolate chips
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 70g sugar
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 160g flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C

Brownie:

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds
  2. Whip eggs and sugar in a separate bowl until pale (about 5-7 minutes)
  3. Gently fold the melted butter and chocolate with a spatula
  4. Sift in flour, salt, and cocoa powder, folding until combined
  5. Pour the batter into a prepared 7 inch/18 cm pan and smooth the top

Blondie:

  1. Melt the butter in the microwave
  2. In a separate bowl, whip eggs and sugar until pale, about 5-7 minutes
  3. Combine melted butter with the egg-sugar mixture
  4. Sift in flour and salt, then gently fold the mixture (do not overmix)
  5. Fold in white chocolate chips

Baking:

  1. Pour the blondie batter over the brownie batter and swirl them together without fully mixing
  2. Bake for about 30 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey
  3. Make sure to not overbake, as it will firm up while cooking
