Pecan & Date Butter

A perfect spread to accompany any bread that you can eat

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 soft big Medjool dates
  • 200g softened butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup pecans (you can also use walnuts instead if you wish)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of coarse salt

Instructions:

  1. Roughly chop the dates. If they are dry, you can soften them by soaking them for 1-2 minutes in boiled hot water
  2. Roughly chop your pecans, then toast them and cool before next step
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  4. Store in the fridge, but for the best texture, serve at room temperature when soft

The perfect accompaniment to any bread, including my sourdough!
